Theatre by the River is thrilled to announce its annual fundraiser Wine & Words will be hosted in partnership with Artspace, PLATFORM Art Gallery and Video Pool Media Arts Centre on Friday, June 21, 2019! Wine & Words is Theatre by the River’s major annual fundraiser, providing funds to cover production and operational expenses and we are delighted to bring this popular event to such dynamic venues in Winnipeg.

We have put a spin on our traditional Wine & Words format! This year, we will select 5-10 original pieces of fiction, poetry, theatre and non-fiction. Selected writers will be a mix of established and emerging writers. These pieces will influence musicians, improvisers and visual artists creating work for the event. ON THE NIGHT, our audience members will be inspired to create their own work based on the source material and creations on the evening, all while flowing among the spaces.
