"There's as many atoms in a single molecule of your DNA as there are stars in the typical Galaxy. We are, each of us, a little universe." - Neil deGrasse Tyson, Cosmos
“Science continues to be a channel for magic – the belief that for the human will, empowered by knowledge, nothing is impossible. This confusion of science with magic is not an ailment of a kind that has a remedy. It goes with modern life. Death is a provocation to this way of living, because it marks a boundary beyond which we cannot go.” – John Gray, The Immortalization Commission
What if we lived in a parallel universe? What if, in some streams, you end up with your current partner, but in others you barely meet? Nick Payne's sharp script follows Marianne and Roland, who exist in a multiverse. They meet, they part, they end up together, he breaks her heart, she breaks his, they get back together, they lead separate lives, they live happily ever after.
What if each choice you make and don’t make can exist simultaneously?
Join us on October 5th and October 8th (the matinee) for a Talk Back following the performance with The University of Winnipeg's
Dr. Andrew Frey (string theorist) and
Dr. Rebecca Danos (cosmologist)
along with members of the creative team.
Delve into the theories behind the multiverses!
